Key industry access certification (API/ASME, etc.)
API 5L (Pipeline Steel Pipe): Added CTOD (Crack Tip Opening Displacement) testing requirements in the 46th edition of 2025, suitable for harsh environments such as subsea pipelines. For example, X70M steel pipes must meet CTOD ≥ 0.15mm at -45 ℃. Certification requires providing full-size tensile testing, guided bending testing, and other data, and passing on-site audits by third-party organizations such as DNV.
API Q1 (Quality Management System): The certification period is 3-6 months, and the cost is approximately 3000-7500 US dollars (application fee)+1500 US dollars/person/day (audit fee)+4000 US dollars/year (annual fee). Enterprises need to establish a quality management manual that covers design changes, material traceability, and non-conforming product control, and pass welding process qualification (PQR) and welder skill assessment (WPQ).
